Nucar Cares
At Nucar INFINITI of Allentown, we’re deeply rooted in our community. We constantly strive to give back and support local initiatives that make Pennsylvania and New England a better place to live, work, and play. The Nucar Cares program collaborates with a variety of organizations that touch lives and bring positive change across the state. Here are just a few examples of the organizations Nucar Cares works with, reflecting our dedication to community, education, and the spirit of togetherness.
Cancer Support Community – Greater Lehigh Valley
For over 35 years, Cancer Support Community – Greater Lehigh Valley has provided a lifeline of hope, connection, and strength to individuals and families affected by cancer. Offering free programs ranging from support groups and wellness workshops to educational seminars and social events, CSCGLV ensures no one faces cancer alone—at any stage of their journey.
A key event in their annual calendar is the Little Pink Dress Party, a spirited celebration held during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The 15th Annual gathering at the Wilbur Mansion in Bethlehem combined live music, dancing, mini-makeovers, and giveaways—all while honoring survivors and raising crucial funds to support CSCGLV’s mission.
Second Harvest Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley
Second Harvest Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley plays a vital role in the fight against hunger by distributing nutritious food to those in need through a network of over 200 partner agencies. As a program of Community Action Lehigh Valley, Second Harvest supports families, children, seniors, and veterans across six counties with access to healthy, nourishing meals.
Beyond food distribution, the organization empowers the community through education and advocacy. Programs like the Community Nutrition initiative offer hands-on cooking demonstrations and nutrition classes at schools, food pantries, and local groups, helping neighbors make the most of available food while encouraging long-term wellness and food security.
Lehigh Valley IronPigs
As a proud Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, the Lehigh Valley IronPigs bring more than just baseball to Allentown—they bring opportunity. Through IronPigs Charities, the team fuels impactful programs that create educational and recreational access for youth across the Lehigh Valley. With a mission centered on diversity, inclusion, and community development, the charity provides critical support to youth sports leagues, school programs, and nonprofit organizations.
Since its founding in 2007, IronPigs Charities has contributed over $1.2 million to local causes, making a lasting difference where it matters most—on the field, in the classroom, and throughout the community. Funds are raised through exciting events like team jersey auctions, the Phillies Winter Caravan, and the fan-favorite 50/50 raffles at Coca-Cola Park.
Whether collecting school supplies during “Philling the Need” donation drives or enhancing local sports facilities, IronPigs Charities stands as a cornerstone of positive change in the region. Their work ensures that every swing of the bat comes with a chance to uplift the next generation.
Toys for Tots
Each year, the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program brings joy to children across the country by collecting and distributing new, unwrapped toys during the holiday season. The mission is simple but powerful: to deliver a message of hope to less fortunate children through the gift of a new toy at Christmas. Locally, this mission comes to life through events like the Lighted Jeep Parade, which not only brightens the streets of our community with dazzling holiday lights but also serves as a collection drive for toys and non-perishable food donations.
These contributions directly support families in Allentown, offering kids a Christmas they may not otherwise experience and providing vital support to local food banks. With strong community participation and the help of volunteers and local organizations, Toys for Tots strengthens neighborhoods and spreads holiday cheer to those who need it most. It’s a heartfelt tradition that unites our community in generosity and hope.

LHK9 is entirely volunteer-run, relying on a passionate team to foster dogs, organize adoption events, and educate the community on important issues like spaying, neutering, and responsible pet ownership. Since its founding in 2012, LHK9 has found homes for over 12,000 dogs, transforming lives and offering hope to countless animals in need. The organization’s dedication to every dog’s well-being and its commitment to education make it a vital resource for both the animals it saves and the communities it serves.
